Simnel Cakes were originally a Mother’s Day Cake but over the years have moved on to being more of an Easter Cake.
With a lovely layer of marzipan in the middle of the fruit cake as well as on top, along with 11 marzipan balls, which represent the 11 disciples minus Judas and finished with pretty ribbon (ribbon my vary). Our Simnel cakes make a really nice gift for Easter that can be sent direct to the recipient.
